Kieu Phuong
Vietnamese painter based in Munich, Germany. Her paintings inhabit the distance between place and memory. Working through the language of landscape, architecture and the figure, she is drawn to sites where time leaves visible traces: temples reclaimed by roots, forests suspended in silence, bodies lingering between presence and absence. Rather than depicting the world as it is, she paints how it is remembered—fragmentary, shifting and unresolved.
She is currently developing her practice in the painting class of Professor Markus Lüpertz at AdBK Kolbermoor.
